Lifestyle Mommy and Me Session | Bay City MI

I was completely overjoyed when a close friend reached out to take photos of her sweet babe as a lifestyle mommy and me session while she visited family in Bay City. There’s a cool story to share here. So, my friend and her sister live on opposite sides of the world, Detroit, Michigan, and Paris, France. They both ended up expecting their first children with due dates very close together, like within a week or so. Well, obviously they both had their babies, and neither could travel to experience this with the other due to the circumstances. When the babies were about 4 months old, the sister from France was able to come out to visit with her sweet baby girl, to visit my friend with her baby boy. So to clarify, these are NOT twins, but cousins extremely close in age. I was so honored to be the one they called to capture these incredibly special images of sisters with their newborn babes, experiencing motherhood for the first time, together.

A lifestyle session

A lifestyle session mostly involves everyday interactions between families, with a photographer there to capture the emotions and expressions. With a lifestyle mommy and me shoot, this obviously includes a mother and her child or children. It’s a GREAT way to capture that incredible bond, and in my opinion, one of the best kinds of shoots you can book for your family. Why? Because moms never get their photos taken. This is for a multitude of reasons, some of which I’m sure you can guess. Nevertheless, these moments are what moms and their kiddos will cherish for years to come.
